Closing Notes

These four case studies are selected to present the capabilities that matter most for design leadership at the intersection of AI and creative tools. The Agentic UX vision demonstrates that I can set strategic design direction for the defining challenge of this era: how AI should serve human creativity. The Homepage Redesign proves I can lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem identification through delivery. Team Scaling & Design Operations shows I can build design organizations that are culturally healthy, operationally sound, and creatively ambitious. And Innovation Studio reveals the leadership philosophy that underlies everything else: the deliberate, structural cultivation of creative thinking at the team level.

The through-line across all four is consistent: I build the conditions for creative breakthroughs at scale. The teams, the culture, the frameworks, and the vision that make great design not just possible but inevitable. Whether the challenge is articulating an AI design philosophy, shipping a high-stakes initiative, scaling an organization from four to twelve, or designing a system that makes a team more innovative over time, I’ve been fortunate to do that work firsthand, and I’m eager to keep building on it.

These studies span an eight-year arc across two very different companies, from platform-scale product innovation and creative culture building at Yahoo to organizational building, AI strategy, and creative tools vision at Splice. Together, they make the case that I’m not just a design manager who can run a team, but a design leader who can shape an organization’s creative direction, connect design to business outcomes, and build the cultural conditions under which great design happens at scale.

Thank you for reading to the end. I know your time is valuable, and I appreciate you spending it here. If any of this resonated, or if you’d like to talk about what great design leadership looks like at your organization, I’d love to hear from you.
